Mundaje Pre Univesity College Mundaje is located at Mundaje village in Beltangady Taluk. It is A+ grade aided institution. It is 12 km away from taluk center. Shatabdi Vidyalaya Samiti (R.) is the founder institution of the college. It is started in 1991 with only 19 students with an aim to ensure education to the rural and economically backward students.

Later in 2018, the institution was handed over to Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha Puttur R. At present around 300 students are getting Indian culture based qualitative education .Co-curricular activities are also encouraged here.

Rovers and Rangers Unit:

The role of Youth in nation-building or development is very important. Youth has the power to change the world when they are united. Swami Vivekananda believed that “Service of mankind is service to God, the selfless service for the cause of humanity is as important as worshiping to God. With the similar ideology the Rovering / Rangering were started by Lord Baden Powell in 1918. Any regular student of College can be enlisted as Rover (Boy) / Ranger (Girl). The unit consists of 24 Rovers called Rover Crew and 24 Rangers called Ranger Team. Uniform is the main attraction of this unit.

Rovers and Rangers learn important life-skills, team building, outdoor adventure, education and fun.
It helps them to explore, to discover the world beyond classroom, and also helps in achieving their full physical, intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens, and as members of their local, national and international communities.
They can participate in different kind of Samagam (Gathering of Rovers and Rangers), Rover Moot / Ranger Meet, Rover Service Camp, Adventure Programs, Trekking Camps, Sea Coast and Deserts, Mountaineering, Water Activities conducted within and outside India.

National Service Scheme (NSS):

As per the dream of Mahatma Gandhi, rural development is important in nation building. ‘National Service Scheme’ is a platform created for the youth of the nation to dedicate themselves to social and moral responsibility.

The National service Scheme with the motto ‘Not for Me but for You’ is beneficial for understanding rural life, addressing social deficiencies, fostering personality development, enhancing leadership qualities, and gaining life experience. The main aim of this Scheme is to harness the energy and passions of the students and engage them in dynamic programs. With this objective, the NSS unit was started in the year 2000. This NSS unit in the college is functioning well and is responsible for the all-round development of the students. This unit has successfully conducted 20 special camps along with various daily activities for 23 years. In addition to this, personality development camps, cultural trainings, health camps have been conducted which are useful for volunteers. The unit allows 100 students to join as volunteers contributing to the all-round development of the student.

Junior Red Cross Wing:

Motto: To enable the country’s youth so that they may contribute in their own way to the establishment of world peace and the welfare of mankind.

All the students of the college are its members encourage students to donate blood, serve humanity during emergencies, learning necessary skills to save life during emergencies and first aid skill.

Sports:

Since the beginning of, the sports team of the college has been famous for their achievements. We have large playground , which is surrounded by nature. We promote physical activity and overall well-being of the students.

Additionally, it helps to develop teamwork, leadership, and discipline. Engaging in sports fosters a sense of camaraderie and school spirit, contributing to a positive school culture. We also provide an avenue for students to explore and excel in various athletic pursuits.

The Kabaddi, Volleyball and Kho Kho team of the college represented in many state and national level tournaments and bagged several Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals

Kabbadi team has won silver medal at Vidya Bharti national level tournament in the year 2018-19. In Kabaddi, our boys Kabbadi team represented Karnataka team and got bronze medal in 2015-16.

Volleyball team has been recognized at national level for many years. In past 3 years Girls Volleyball teams are making achievements in national level sports at Vidya Bharati tournaments.

The Kho Kho team has bagged many titles in the district and many athletes are shining at the national level.
